RHS New Mexico Roadrunner Chapter Christmas Luncheon

December 7, 2013

Saturday, December 7, 2013 eight members were able to be together for the Christmas luncheon. We have 26 members, but due to travel, illness and other commitments, the eight who did make it had  grand time.

Our venue was Memories Restaurant, a Victorian style dining experience and one we've been to several times. The food is excellent, the service impeccable and the ambiance rare in Alamogordo.

As part of the festivities, we had a Christmas ornament exchange which was supposed to be done as a Chinese Auction, but everyone seemed to be quite happy with their first choice and no one opted to take an ornament away from anyone.

There was much laughter and visiting as is usually the case when a group of Red Hatters get together.

L to R: Countess of Karr Canyon Margie, Duchess of High Rolls/VQ Penny and Dame Dorothy
Alice and Nadia
Our Scottish lass Ann and Marquessa Corte Alegre Jean
Dame Dorothy and Queen Ladybird Carla
Margie received a beautiful butterfly ornament--pretty enough to go on a hat?
As Red Hatters are apt to do, someone decided to give this lovely Red Hat bag and VQ Penny chose it
Alice got this lovely Christmas pillow
Alice with some nifty Christmas booties as well
Jean got a lovely Hallmark Red Hat ornament
Dorothy with a lovely painted ornament
Ann with a saguaro cactus ornament
Nadia receives the "Flying Purple People Eater" mascot from Queen Ladybird Carla
Carla received a lovely Christmas snow globe to add to her collection. Each member received a goodie bag  containing several items from Queen Ladybird.

Thanks to those of you who stepped in to take photos of the Queen and thanks to my darling Doug for processing all the pictures.

This is all I have to say for now.
