Red Hat Pajama Breakfast

Saturday, February 12, 2011
If you weren't there, you really missed out this time! The Hoity Toity Red Hat Mamas Chapter of the Red Hat Society (Lewisville, Texas) really put on a great event with seventy people in attendance. Now, how many people do you know will get out of bed at 5:30 a.m. to drive 50 miles just to have fun? Either we are fractured or we know something nobody else does, because this is exactly what we did and we had a blast.
Seven members of Wild West Women of Weatherford Red Hat Chapter woke up, glitzed up and showed up in Grapevine, Texas at the Golden Corral Restaurant for the most fun pajama breakfast we've ever had. We played games and competed in contests from crazy hats to blowing the largest bubble gum bubble. We were judged on our pajama get-ups and crazy shoes. Not a soul left without winning some kind of prize. This is just the way Queen Zoomy Ward of that chapter does things. Creativity was alive and well in this group of Red Hatters.
I provided a door prize, a basket of goodies including an autographed copy of my memoir "The Cherokee Advantage" written under my pen name, C. C. Crittenden, and it was well received by the winner.
Can't wait for Queen Zoomy to host another event. I'll be there for sure! Before I forget, the food was just delicious. They have a young lady there making omelets and mine was the best I've ever had. The Golden Corral is cafeteria style and they have anything and everything one could ever think of for breakfast, not to mention that our room was just next door to the dessert bar. Yes, of course we had dessert at breakfast. We are, after all, Red Hatters!

This is all I have to say for now.
